Intervention Team is a specialist rapid-response unit whose main objective is to protect the lives, health and property of residents in situations involving human–bear conflict. The team is made up of trained specialists with practical field experience who act swiftly, professionally and in accordance with current legislation and the principles of nature conservation.

There are currently eight Intervention Teams operating in Slovakia – three under the State Nature Conservancy of the Slovak Republic and five under the national park administrations.
